| Hi I’m Ben Stevens a self-described “business consultant” who is also the president of the Alaska Senate. I’m into everything Alaskan-business from fish to oil. It sure is convenient that I sit on the Finance Committee for Natural Resources as well as on the Senate Committees for: Resources, Rules, and the joint committee for Legislative Budget and Audit. I’ll be set up for years! Oh yeah and in case you didn’t know my daddy is Ted Stevens so that helps too. In fact I don’t think I’ll be running for reelection (not because of my corruption scandals mind you) but to pursue more time with “my family”. Keep an eye out for me though, with my connections you’re sure to hear from (or at least about) me in the future! xoxo Ben S. | |

In business with Abramoff, Duke Cunningham, and a lesser known corrupt bastard (A.K.A powerful lobbyist) Bill Lowery while fattening his congressional district with america\’s tax dollars - he has to be a text book example. Trust me we will be hearing more about this man-pig even though he seems to have fired 60 investigators who were until last week auditing billions of dollars in government spending, probably because they were getting a little too close to some of this appropriations. |

Hastert earmarked $207 million in federal dollars for the proposed Prairie Parkway through his home state which allowed him to make a cool 2 million from real estate sales for land which would otherwise be disconnected from a major highway. Oh yeah and he apparently \”doesn\’t recall\” being warned by his senior staff (or House Majority Leader John Boehner ) about a child predator in the house who had been harassing congressional pages - there\’s that too… What a bastard. What’s wrong with these people? How come they think they can get away with this? |

He is using his influence as a 10 year congressman to secure lobbying contracts for his daughter - one of those being a 500,000 annual contract for Russian Energy firm Itera. Keep it in the family I suppose… |

| In 2003 Burns got the Interior Department to make a $3 million grant to a rich, Michigan-based tribal client of Abramoff’s; Burns also received $150,000 in contributions from Abramoff, his co-workers and his clients over the past five years. (Burns has since given those funds to charity.) In an April article in Vanity Fair, Abramoff said, “Every appropriation we wanted [from Burns\’ committee], we got … I mean, it’s a little difficult for him to run from that record.” | |

| Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama has steered at least $50 million over the past decade, including $10 million approved by the Senate yesterday, to military projects benefiting a company owned by one of his largest campaign contributors. Apparently he also likes to keep his friends as Fox News up to date on classified information as well. Fox News chief political correspondent Carl Cameron confirmed to FBI investigators that Shelby verbally classifed information to him during a June 19, 2002, interview, minutes after Shelby’s committee had been given the information in a classified briefing. |
